The Gibraltar 5 Pound Banknote is part of the Government of Gibraltar’s 1988 issues. The obverse of the green banknote features Queen Elizabeth II wearing Queen Alexandra’s Kokoshnik Tiara, the Festoon necklace of King George VI, and Queen Mary’s pair of Floret earrings. It also displays the Rock of Gibraltar and the coat of arms depicting a castle with a key. The reverse of the paper bill shows the Old Convent Guard House with a flag. Security features of the note include a watermark that reveals Queen Elizabeth II and a solid security thread. The paper bill is 145 x 77 mm in size and bears the signature of Financial and Development Secretary Brian Traynor. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
