The green and orange British pound note that was introduced in 1978 by the Bank of England was designed by Henry Eccleston. This note is in uncirculated condition and TAP Authenticated. Its obverse side features a seated Britannia on the lower left corner, the medallion of caduceus, a cornucopia, and an olive branch in the center, and a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the right side. Its reverse side honors the scientist Sir Isaac Newton whose discoveries and theories on physics, astrology, and mathematics revolutionized the field of science.
