The 10 British pound note of 2016 is one of the first polymer substrate banknotes. The warm-colored banknote measures 130 mm by 67 mm. The front of the note features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II wearing her coronation crown, the Bank of England seal and headquarters in London, and the British coat of arms. The back of the note features a seated Elizabeth Bennet reading letters on Jane Austins 12-sided writing table, the view outside Godmersham Park House, an open book copper foil patch, and Jane Austin quoting a line from Miss Bingley. The note has a holographic stripe printed using Kurzs Kinegram colors ink. The note has no other security thread but has a watermark of a shadow image. This is also the first Bank of England note that has a tactile feature to aid the sight impaired.
