The Great Britain 5 Pounds 2 Pieces Set is one of the first banknotes printed by De La Rue using polymer substrate. This particular 2-piece set has a matching serial number. The obverse of the note displays a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the Bank of England logo, the National Emblem, and the Elizabeth Tower which is also known as Big Ben. The Bank of England headquarters in London is also visible in the background. The reverse features Sir Winston Churchill and the Houses of Parliament situated in London. Furthermore, the maze at Bleinheim Palace is shown in green foil. This 125 x 65 mm banknote is the first in the world to use the Kurzs Kinegram Colors holographic stripe as its security feature.
