Reviews:

The Greece 1,000 Drachmaes issued in 1987 with pick number 202a is graded PMG 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty. It features the Apollon of Olympia, one of the most significant statues on the Severe and the early Classical Styles. The bottom left center of the obverse displays a Tetradrachm which is an Ancient Greek silver coin from Olympia, Elis. The reverse of the banknote features the Temple of Hera, an ancient Archaic Greek temple dedicated to the Greek Gods Queen Hera. Another noteworthy element is the Discobolus or a discus thrower by the Ancient Greek sculptor Myron of Eleutherae. This 158 x 77 mm paper bill has a portrait of Charioteer Polyzalos of Delphi as its watermark.
