This uncirculated 1,000 Greek drachma banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Greece as part of their third Modern Greek Drachma series. It is a tan banknote that is dated 1983, bears the signature of Dimitrios Chalikias, and measures 158 mm x 77 mm. Its obverse side shows the bust of Apollon of Olympia and an ancient coin. Its reverse side depicts the Discobolus of Myron sculpture and the Hera Temple ruins at Olympia. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark of Charioteer Polyzalos.
