The Greece 1,000 Drachmai banknote was issued by the Bank of Greece in 1970. Its obverse features the statue of Zeus in the National Archaeological Museum in Athens. It also shows the amphitheater of Epidaurus. The reverse of the paper bill depicts a woman wearing a traditional costume and the Hydra island. The banknote is 158 x 80 mm in size and bears a watermark that reveals an image of Aphrodite of Knidos. This banknote has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
