The 5,000 Greek Drachmaes note was issued by the Bank of Greece in 1984. Its front side features Theodoros Kolokotronis, a Greek general in the Greek War of Independence against the Ottoman Empire, and the Holy Apostolate of Kalamata Church where Kolokotronis led the first campaign against the Ottomans. Its reverse side shows a view of Karytaina. Security features of the note include a solid security thread, a Charioteer Polyzalos of Delphi watermark, and dimensions of 164 mm by 81 mm. This particular note is in uncirculated condition and TAP Authenticated by Banknote World experts.
