This used 5 million Greek drachma note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Greece. It is a gray and dark brown note that is dated 20 July 1944, bears the signatures of Spyridon Chatzikyriakos and M. Pierros, and measures 140 mm x 62 mm. Its obverse side features the Arethusa on the dekadrachm of Syracuse. Its reverse side shows the denomination. The banknote does not have a security thread or a watermark. However, it has a large serial number with suffix letters.
