This 50 Greek Drachmae banknote is part of the third series of modern drachma issued by the Bank of Greece in 1978. The obverse side has the side profile of Poseidon, the Ancient Greek god of the sea. The reverse side depicts the scene of Laskarina Bouboulina Pinotsis ordering her cannons to fire at two Ottoman ships. The notes watermark is the Charioteer Polyzalos of Delphi. It measures 144 mm by 64 mm.
