This uncirculated 50 Greek drachma banknote is part of the third series of modern drachma notes issued by the Bank of Greece in 1978. It is signed by Xenophon Zolotas. Its obverse side features the side profile of Poseidon, the ancient Greek god of the sea. Its reverse side depicts the scene of Laskarina Bouboulina Pinotsis ordering her soldiers to fire at two Ottoman ships. Security features of the note include a solid security thread and a watermark of the charioteer Polyzalos of Delphi. It also measures 144 mm by 64 mm.
