This Guatemala 20 Quetzal banknote from 2015 measures 156 x 67 mm. Its front design bears a portrait of the forefather and head of state Mariano Galvez, a flying quetzal bird, a Mayan man with a potted flower as a registration device, a stylized temple, and an embossed glyph. The reverse side features a Mayan carving, a flag, a Mayan man with a potted flower, and a group of delegates signing the declaration of independence of Central America. The security features of the note include a windowed security thread with demetalized BANCO DE GUATEMALA 20 and a watermark image of Mariano Galvez and electrotype 20.
