This uncirculated 5 Guatemalan quetzal note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Guatemala. It is a purple, green, orange, red, and blue note that is dated 14 May 2014, bear the signatures of Sergio Francisco Recinos Rivera and Edgar Baltazar Barquin Duran, and measures 156 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side features a flying quetzal bird, flag, ears of corn, Mayan mask as registration device, stylized temple with glyphs, Justo Rufino Barrios Auyon and a seated howling dog. Its reverse side shows a Mayan mask, a school scene with a girl writing on blackboard, students at desks, and a teacher helping a boy write in a book and a flag. Though there is no security thread, there is still a watermark of Electrotype 5. The details of this note have been verified and TAP Authenticated by Banknote World experts.
