This Guatemala 50 Quetzal banknote from 2013 depicts a portrait of Finance Minister Carlos O. Zachrisson on the front design, along with a flying quetzal bird, a Mayan man with a basket as a registration device, a flag, a stylized temple, and a SPARK oval. On the reverse are Guatemalan locals with baskets and sacks harvesting coffee berries from trees, Mayan glyphs, a flag, and a Mayan man with a basket. The note has a dimension of 156 x 67 mm and contains a windowed security thread with demetalized BG 50 to enhance its security features. Placing the note under a UV light would reflect a watermark image of Carlos O. Zachrisson and electrotype 50.
