The Guatemala 50 Quetzales Banknote was issued by the Bank of Guatemala in 2013. It comes in a combination of orange, purple, green, and red. Its obverse features Finance Minister Carlos C. Zachrisson, a flying quetzal bird, the denomination in Braille, a flag, and a stylized temple. The reverse of the paper bill depicts men and women picking coffee berries from trees with baskets and sacks. The paper bill bears a windowed security thread with a demetallized BG 50, a watermark that reveals Carlos O. Zachrisson and an electrotype 50, and a registration device that reflects a Mayan man with a basket. The banknote is 156 x 67 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition. It has also been authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
