Guatemala 50 Quetzales Banknote, 2013, P-125b, UNC

This Guatemala 50 Quetzal banknote from 2013 is part of the 2010 - 2018 series. Its front design bears a portrait of finance minister Carlos Zachrisson, a flying quetzal bird, a Mayan man with a basket as a registration device, a flag, a stylized temple, and a SPARK oval. The reverse side features local farmers harvesting coffee berries from trees, Mayan glyphs, a flag, and a Mayan man with a basket. The note measures 156 x 67 mm and is equipped with a windowed security thread with demetalized BG 50 to enhance its security features. Placing the note under a UV light would reflect a watermark image of Carlos O Zachrisson and electrotype 50.
