The Guernsey 1 Pound is part of the series of notes issued in 2016 with a new security thread and in smaller size. This banknote has a low serial number and is graded 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty. The obverse shows the 1830 Market Squares with stalls and shoppers. On its underprint is a Guernsey lily pattern and its registration device consists of a quatrefoil. Another noteworthy element is the seal of Bailiwick circled with olive branches. The back of the note features the 1840 Royal Court building in St. Peter Port and a portrait of Bailiff Daniel de Lisle Brock. The Bailiffs hat and the Brock Coat of Arms are also visible. This 128 x 65 mm paper money has a solid security thread with printed GUERNSEY. It also has the seal of Bailiwick shield pattern as its watermark.
