This Guernsey 20 Pound banknote from 1996 is part of the 1994 - 1996 series. Printed on its obverse side is a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, a Guernsey lily, an olive branches flanking the seal of Bailiwick, the SS Sarnia passenger vessel as a registration device, and the St. James Concert Hall in St. Peter Port. On the reverse are the St. Sampsons Church, the Vale Castle, the SS Sarnia passenger vessel, two sailboats in St. Sampsons Harbour, Freesia flowers, and trees. The note measures 149 x 80 mm and contains a solid security thread printed with GUERNSEY to enhance its security features. Placing the note under a UV light would reflect a watermark image of Queen Elizabeth II.
