The Guernsey 5 Pound banknote from 1996 is part of the 1994 - 1996 series. Its front design bears a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the town Church in St. Peter Port, a Euphrosyne Kendal lifeboat as a registration device, and olive branches flanking the seal of Bailiwick. On the reverse is the Hanois Lighthouse in 1862, the Fort Grey in Rocquaine Bay in St. Peter, a Euphrosyne Kendal lifeboat, camellia flower, and a stylized sunburst. The note measures 135 x 70 mm and is equipped with a windowed security thread printed with demetalized GUERNSEY, along with Queen Elizabeth II's watermark to enhance its security features.
