The 50 Guernsey pound banknote was first introduced in 1994 as part of the series of bank notes that featured Queen Elizabeth II. The obverse has Queen Elizabeth II and olive branches surrounding the seal of Bailiwick at the foreground and the Royal Court House in St. Peter Port in the background. The reverse side depicts St. Andrews Church and La Granmere du Chimquiere at the foreground, and a Letter of Marque and the landscape of Pointe de la Moye in the background. The LInvention sailing ship on both sides of the note is the notes registration device. The security features of the note are a solid security thread with a printed GUERNSEY and a watermark of Queen Elizabeth II. The measurements of the note are 156 x 85 mm.
