Guinea Bissau 1,000 Pesos Banknote, 1978, P-8b, UNC

This uncirculated 1,000 Guinea-Bissau peso note is dated 24 September 1978 and signed by Prime Minister Vitor Saude Maria, Finance Minister Vitor Freire Monteiro, and National Bank Governor Pedro A. Godinho Gomes. It is a green note that measures 161 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side features Amilcar Cabral, an anti-colonist leader. It also shows the coat of arms, a stylized woman, and a man using a modern loom. Its reverse side depicts the Aposteosis to the Victory Mural. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark of Amilcar Cabral.
