This uncirculated 1,000 Guinea-Bissau peso banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of Guinea-Bissau. It is a brown banknote that is dated 1 March 1993, bear the signatures of Governor Luis Candido Ribeiro and Vice-Governor Jose Lima Barber, and measures 149.5 mm x 64 mm. Its obverse side shows a man weaving with a modern loom, a stylized female, the national coat of arms, and a portrait of Amilcar Cabral. Its reverse side depicts the Apotheosis to the Victory mural. Security features include a solid security thread with printed BCG, a flame registration device, and a watermark of Amilcar Cabral. The note was demonetized in 1997.
