The Haiti 100 Gourdes Banknote was issued by the Bank of the Republic of Haiti in 2016 to commemorate the bicentennial of Haitian independence from France on January 1, 1804. The banknote comes in a color combination of light blue and purple. Its obverse features the coat of arms with a cannon, flags, an anchor, a bugle, a drum, and a palm tree. It also depicts General Henry Christophe, a sailing ship, a house, soldiers fighting in town, and a flag. The reverse of the note shows the Henry Christophe Citadel atop Bonnet a L’Eveque mountain in Milot. The banknote contains a holographic stripe, a windowed security thread with demetallized BRH, and a watermark varieties. The note is 158 x 64 mm in size. This commemorative banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
