The Honduras 1 Lempira Banknote from 2012 is part of the 2012 - 2016 series, with embossed Braille dots and high-relief vertical bars at the top and bottom center, to help the sight-impaired identify the denomination by touch. Its obverse side features a portrait of 16th-century national hero Lempira wearing a headband and the coat of arms of Honduras. The reverse side features the ballcourt and stairs of the Copan ruins and a Mayan monolith. The note does not contain any security threads however it measures 156 x 67 mm.
