Honduras 100 Lempiras Banknote, 2014, P-102b, UNC

This Honduras 100 Lempira banknote from 2014 is part of the 2012-2016 series. Its obverse side bears a portrait of Jose Cecilio Diaz del Valle, a Spanish politician that plays a big role in Central America's transition from being a colonial government to independence. A Mayan glyph as a registration device and the Rio Choluteca suspension bridge in Choluteca is also added on the front design. The reverse side features the casa Donde nacio del Sabio Valle, the ancestral house where the politician was born. The security features of the note include a windowed security thread with demetalized BCH 100 and a watermark image of Jose Cecilio Diaz del Valle and electrotype BCH.
