The Honduras 5 Lempira banknote that depicts a portrait of General Francisco Morazan was issued in 2012. Its front design bears the national emblem and the General's portrait, he was a leader known for his liberal reforms in the new Federal Republic of Central America. On the reverse is a depiction of the Battle of Trinidad on November 11, 1827. The note does not contain any security threads nor watermarks however it measures 156 x 67 mm.
