Honduras 500 Lempiras Banknote, 2014, P-103b, UNC

The Honduras 500 Lempira banknote from 2014 is part of the 2012-2016 series. Its front design depicts a portrait of Ramon Rosa, a prominent lawyer and liberal writer from the second half of the 19th century, along with a mailbox as a registration device and the La Merced church. The reverse side features mining buildings at Rosary of San Juancito in 1893 and a mailbox. The note is 156 x 67 mm and contains a windowed security thread with demetalized BCH 500 to enhance its security features. Placing the note under a UV light would reflect a watermark image of Ramon Rosa and electrotype BCH.
