This Hong Kong 100 Dollar banknote from 2013 was released with designs aiming to highlight the Chinese heritage and technology through inventions. Its obverse side features the bank logo pattern in underprint along with a mythological horse and a numeric 100 in SPARK. The reverse side features a Sung script seal and a printed circuit. The note measures 154 x 77 mm and contains a magenta-to-gold windowed security thread with demetalized HK100 to enhance its security features. Placing the note under a UV light would reflect a Bauhinia blakeana flower watermark and electrotype 100 in pixelated background.
