The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region issued this Hong Kong 10 Dollar banknote in January 2012. The front and back design of the note depicts a Bauhinia flower, a rearing horse as a registration device, and geometric patterns with an addition of red and yellow ribbon on the reverse. The note measures 132 x 65 mm and does not contain any security threads however a watermark numeric 10 is added to the design as part of its security features. The note is printed on polymer substrate instead of paper.
