This Hong Kong 100 Dollar banknote was released in January 2014 by the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation. The banknote's obverse side depicts a lion statue along with the HSBC headquarters building and the bank logo on the left and a gold lions head and numeric 100 in SPARK on the upper-right. The reverse side of the note features a marching band passing soldiers and civilians with flags while celebrating the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Establishment Day. The HSBC logo and the Forever Blooming Bauhinia monument is printed on the right. The security features of the note include a green-to-magenta windowed security thread with demetalized HK100 and a large HK made up of small letters, a Bauhinia flower watermark, and electrotype 100 on pixelized design. The note measures 153 x 76.5 mm.
