This Hong Kong 20 Dollar banknote was released in January 2012 by the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation. Its obverse side depicts the HSBC headquarters building, the bank logo as the registration device, a lion statue, a lions head, and a numeric 20 in SPARK. The reverse side features local children with lanterns celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival and the HSBC logo. The note has a dimension of 143 x 71.5 mm and contains a green-to-magenta windowed security thread with demetalized HK20 and a large HK made up of small letters as part of its security features. A Bauhinia flower watermark and electrotype 20 on pixelized design are also made visible under UV light.
