This Hong Kong 50 Dollar banknote was released by the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited in 2002. Its front design depicts a lion's head statue on the left, a beautiful view of the Hong Kong Harbour skyline on the center, and flowers and leaves as a registration device on the right. The reverse side features two reclining lion statues flanking the 4th HSBC headquarters building in Central District, Hong Kong, and two dragon boats racing in the background. The note is 148 x 74 mm in size and contains a solid security thread and a lion's head watermark in profile to enhance its security features. This particular banknote has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
