This Hong Kong 50 Dollar banknote measures 148 x 74 mm. It was released in January 2019 by the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation. The banknote's obverse side features a lion's head statue along with the denomination in gold-to-green OVI and the HSBC logo. The reverse side depicts a beautiful view of the countryside overlooking a mountain in the center, and the Po Lin temple architectural details on the right. The banknote's security features include a 4-mm wide holographic windowed security thread with demetalized bauhinia flower and HK50, a solid security thread, and a watermark image of the HSBC headquarters building and electrotype 50.
