This Hong Kong 500 Dollar banknote from 2014 has a dimension of 158 x 79 mm. The obverse side of the note depicts the HSBC headquarters building with the bank logo as a registration device, a lion statue, a gold lions head, and numeric 500 in SPARK. The reverse side features the HSBC logo and Chinese dancers in dragon costumes with lanterns and drums while celebrating the Lunar New Year. The banknote's security features include a green-to-magenta windowed security thread with demetalized HK500 and a large HK made up of small letters. A watermark image of the Bauhinia flower and electrotype 500 on pixelized design is also made visible under a UV light.
