This 50 Hong Kong dollar note was introduced by the Bank of China in 2011. It is a green note that measures148 mm x 74 mm, is dated 1 January 2013, and bears the signature of He Guangbei. Its obverse side features the Bank of China Tower, Bauhinia flowers, and a SPARK feature of a bauhinia flower and the denomination. Its reverse side shows a view of Tung Ping Chau. Security features include a green-to-magenta windowed security thread with demetalized HK50 and a large HK made up of small letters and a watermark of a Bauhinia and an electrotype 50 on a pixelized design. It is also a gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced minor handling, and has above-average centering. Thus, it is graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
