This uncirculated 500 Hong Kong dollar banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of China. It is a brown banknote that is dated 1 January 2020, bears the signature of Chief Executive Gao Yingxin, and measures 158 mm x 79 mm. Its obverse side shows the Bank of China building in Beijing, the BOC logo, a Bauhinia flower, and a green hexagonal rock column with 500 in SPARK Orbital. Its reverse side is vertically oriented and depicts the hexagonal rock columns at the High Island Reservoir East Dam. Security features include a denomination registration device, a Galaxy windowed security thread with a Saturn effect and a demetalized 500 and rock columns, and a watermark of a Bauhinia flower with an electrotype 500.
