This uncirculated 1,000 Hong Kong dollar banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation. It is an orange banknote that is dated 1 January 2020, bears the signature of Chief Executive Peter T. S. Wong, and measures 163 mm x 81.5 mm. Its obverse side shows the HSBC headquarters building, the HSBC logo, a lion statue, and a green SPARK Orbital feature of a Bauhinia flower and 1000. Its reverse side is vertically oriented and depicts a panoramic fisheye lens view of the Central Business District and the HSBC logo. Security features include a denomination registration device, a Galaxy windowed security thread with a Saturn effect and demetalized 1000 and a Bauhinia flower, and a watermark of a Bauhinia flower with an electrotype 1000.
