This 10 Hong Kong dollar note is dated 1 January 1989 and issued by the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC). It is a green, orange, pink, and blue note that measures 138 mm x 69 mm. Its obverse side shows the crowned coat of arms that includes a lion rampant, a unicorn rampant, a sailing ship, and a Chinese junk. Its reverse side depicts two reclining lion statues flanking the 4th HSBC headquarters building, a Chinese junk, and a modern freight ship. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark of a lion head in profile.
