This uncirculated 5 Hong Kong dollar banknote was issued by the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) on October 31, 1973. Its obverse side features a crowned coat of arms with a lion and a unicorn, a sailing ship, a Chinese junk, and a seated allegorical woman. Its reverse side shows an angel and the 3rd HSBC headquarters building in the Central District. Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a watermark of a helmeted warrior with a 5.
