The Hong Kong - HSBC 50 Dollars Banknote was issued by the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation in 2012. The green banknote bears Chinese and English text. Its obverse features the HSBC headquarters building, a lion statue, and a lion's head and 50 in SPARK. The reverse depicts a young woman and a man reading a card hanging from an ornate lantern, celebrating the Spring Lantern Festival. The banknote contains a green-to-magenta windowed security thread with demetallized HK50 and a large HK made up of small letters. Its watermark reveals a bauhinia flower and an electrotype 50 on a pixelized design. It also contains an HSBC logo registration device. The banknote is 148 x 74 mm in size and is signed by Peter Wong. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
