This uncirculated 50 Hong Kong dollar banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation. It is a green banknote that is dated 1 January 2018, bears the signature of Peter T.S. Wong, and measures 148 mm x 74 mm. Its obverse side shows the HSBC headquarters building, the HSBC logo, a lion statue, and a butterfly with 50 in green SPARK Orbital. Its reverse side is vertically oriented and depicts a swallowtail butterfly resting on a China Rose hibiscus flower. Security features include a windowed security thread and a watermark of a Bauhinia flower with an electrotype 50.
