The Hong Kong - Standard Chartered Bank 1,000 Dollars Banknote was issued by the Standard Chartered Bank in 2003. It has a color combination of brown, green, yellow, blue, and orange. Its obverse features a mythological dragon. It also shows the bank logo pattern in the underprint. The reverse depicts ships in Victoria Harbor circa 2003. The note contains a holographic windowed security thread with demetallized HK1000 and a solid security thread. It also contains a dragon and an electrotype 1000 for its watermark. The banknote is 164 x 62 mm in size and bears the signatures of Peter Wong and Julian Fong Loong Choon. This particular banknote has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
