The Hungary 10 Forint Banknote is part of the Hungarian National Bank’s 1957 issues. It comes in a combination of green and orange. The obverse of the paper bill bears Hungarian text and features poet revolutionary Sandor Petofi and the new Soviet coat of arms. It also reflects a stylized floral design. The reverse of the note is also in Hungarian and displays a crowd under the trees along a river bank as shown on a painting by Janos Janko “Birth of the Folk Song”. The banknote does not contain a security thread and watermark. It bears the signatures of Sandor Kovacs, Denes Szanto, and Andras Fodor. The banknote is 159 x 73 mm in size and is in used condition.
