Iceland 10 Kronur Banknote, L.1961 (1981-1986 ND), P-48a.4, UNC, TAP Authenticated

The Iceland 10 Kronur Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Iceland between 1981 and 1986 under the 1961 law. The obverse of the blue banknote features scholar Arngrimur Jonsson Iaeroi wearing a ruffled collar and a cape holding a book. The reverse of the paper bill illustrates an old Icelandic family gathered around the fire, reading a book. Also depicted on the reverse are household items. The banknote contains a solid security thread and a watermark that reveals Jon Sigurdsson. The note is 130 x 70 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition. It has also been TAP authenticated.
