The Iceland 50 Kronur Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Iceland between 1981 and 1986. The obverse of this brown banknote features the Lutheran Bishop of Holar Gudbrandur Porlaksson in robes, holding the first Icelandic bible. The reverse of the note depicts a printer pulling a sheet from the press and another printer inking the plate. The banknote contains a solid security thread and a watermark that reveals Jon Sigurosson. The note measures 135 x 70 mm and is signed by Davio Olafsson and Guomundur Hjartarson. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
