This used 1,000 Indian rupee note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Reserve Bank of India. It is a red, pink, orange, yellow, black, green, and light blue note that is dated 2007, bears the signature of Yaga Venugopal Reddy and the plate letter L, and measures 176 mm x 73 mm. Its obverse side features Mahatma Gandhi and the lion capital of the Ashoka pillar, It also shows the RBI seal depicting a tiger and a palm tree. Its reverse side shows a language panel, farmers riding a combine tractor in a wheat field. It also depicts an offshore oil drilling platform, a satellite, a young woman using a computer with a CRT monitor, and a steel mill. Security features include a flower registration device, a 3-mm wide green-to-blue windowed security thread with demetalized RBI and Sanskrit name, and a watermark of Mahatma Gandhi with an electrotype vertical RBI 1000.
