This used 1,000 Indian rupee note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Reserve Bank of India. It is a red, pink, yellow, orange, black, green, and light blue note that is dated 2013, bears the signature of Duvvuri Subbarao and the plate letter L, and measures 176 mm x 73 mm. Its obverse side features the lion capital of Ashoka pillar, flowers, the Reserve Bank of India seal, and a picture of Mahatma Gandhi. Its reverse side depicts various economic activities of farmers riding a combine tractor in a wheat field, an offshore oil drilling platform, a satellite, a steel mill, and a woman using a computer along with a language panel.
