The India 1 Rupee banknote is part of the family of notes issued in 2017, after twenty years of replacing the 1-rupee banknote with a coin. This particular note has a binary serial number. The obverse of the note bears an image of a 1-rupee coin which has a lion capital of Ashoka pillar. Centered at the reverse of this 97 x 63 mm bill is the Sagar Samrat oil exploration platform. A 1-rupee coin with flower designs is on the upper left and below is the 15 language panel. A rupee symbol is also visible. Its security feature is a watermark which shows the Ashoka pillar.
