The India 1 Rupee banknote was released by the Government of India in 2017. The banknote comes in a combination of pink and green. Its obverse features a 1-rupee coin depicting the lion capital of the Ashoka pillar. The back of the paper bill displays a 1-rupee coin with flowers, a rupee symbol, and a date. It also reflects the Sagar Samrat oil exploration platform and the 15 language panel. The banknote does not contain a security thread but bears a watermark that reveals the Ashoka pillar. It is 97 x 63 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition. It also has the signature of Shaktikanta Das and a fancy serial number.
