The India 100 Rupees Banknote was issued by the Reserve Bank of India in 2022. The lavender banknote features Mahatma Gandhi on its obverse. The obverse also displays the RBI seal with a tiger and a palm tree, and the lion capital of the Ashoka pillar. The reverse depicts the Swachh Bharat logo (Gandhi’s eyeglasses), a language panel, and the Rani Ki Vav (The Queen's Stepwell) in Patan, Gujarat. The banknote contains a 3-mm wide green-to-blue windowed security thread with demetallized RBI and India. Its watermark reveals an electrolyte 100, Mahatma Gandhi, a vertical RBI, and 100. It is 142 x 66 mm in size and bears the Plate Letter M. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
